“When there is no mind, you are in yoga; when there is mind you are not in yoga. So you may do all the postures, but if the mind goes on functioning, if you go on thinking, you are not in yoga.”

Restorative Yoga
“Restorative Yoga is simply restorative. Relax into restorative poses at your own pace, release any physical tension and re-balance your nervous system. Props such as blankets, bolsters etc. will help you to move into the poses more easily and deeply. Connecting with your natural breath will take you to a relaxed and grounded state of being. You will leave the class with a sense of calmness and serenity and a glow on your face.”
Certificate: Restorative Yoga Teacher Training | Anna Ashby Yoga London 2015.
Yin Yoga
“Yin” in Chinese philosophy stands for the feminine, dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective aspects of life. Yin Yoga is a slow, quiet, meditative style of yoga where we hold the postures for a prolonged period of time mainly sitting or lying thereby moving into deep, long stretches of our muscles, joints and connective tissue. Staying in Yin postures passively for a few minutes will also activate the energy channels of our body (nadis), release any blockages and increase the energy flow. Yin Yoga invites us to be quiet, to deeply connect with your breath and to accept things, situations and people as they are.
Certificate: Yin Yoga Intensive | Norman Blair London, 2015.
“Edith not only helps with aligning one’s posture, whether you are a novice or more advanced yoga pursuer, she also offers excellent spiritual guidance throughout the practice. I enjoy her calmness and support during the sessions and superb attention to the body and mind. Her restorative sessions are second to none”
