Online Yoga Classes
Day: Wednesday
Time: 6.30pm – 7.30pm (UK time)
Style: Restorative Yoga
Details: “Restorative Yoga is simply restorative. Relax into restorative poses at your own pace, release any physical tension and re-balance your nervous system. Props such as blankets, bolsters etc. will help you to move into the poses more easily and deeply. Connecting with your natural breath will take you to a relaxed and grounded state of being. You will leave the class with a sense of calmness and serenity and a glow on your face.”
As we may not have the props of a yoga studio available at home, please have plenty of cushions, blankets or towels, possibly a scarf and a chair ready for this class.
Day: Saturday
Time: 10am – 11am (UK time)
Style: Dru Yoga
Details: “Dru yoga is a graceful and gentle form of yoga, based on flowing postures and sequences, directed breathing, visualisations and blissful relaxations. Rooted in ancient yogic traditions, yet tailored for the 21st century, Dru yoga is particularly useful for improving mood, flexibility and resilience to stress. At the same time it is deeply relaxing and rejuvenating. Designed to be practised by people of all abilities, fitness levels and age groups.”
Day: Sunday
Time: 10am – 11am (UK time)
Style: Yin Yoga
Details: In Yin yoga we hold poses mainly lying or sitting for a prolonged period of time with awareness and caution. We gently stretch connective tissue, ligaments and joints, while we release any tension in our muscles and mind.
Yin yoga is accessible to all of us, as we stay within our own limits. Throughout the class we try to stay connected with the present moment, embracing whatever we experience.
Day: Sunday
Time: 6.30pm – 7.30pm (UK time)
Style: Yoga Nidra
Location: Following gentle warm up movements and a few restorative poses, you will be lying in Savana as I will talk you through Yoga Nidra using visualizations and body scanning techniques.
Yoga Nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) is a guided full body relaxation which will take you to yogic ‘sleep’, a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. Yoga Nidra is deeply relaxing and transformative.
